SITES

Standorte MOGUNTIA FOOD GROUP

With a total of 4 production sites, strategic service and administrative sites, and long-time partners around the world, we have been successful in consistently delivering high quality in the long term. In addition to the traditional site for liquid products in Lower Saxony, one of the most modern food plants in Europe in Kirchbichl, and our own production facility for comprehensive starter cultures and essences in the Swiss town of Gossau, we are also well positioned with our production facilities in the United Kingdom.

To make the quality of the products and the range more attractive and competitive, the MOGUNTIA FOOD GROUP sites specialise in their respective areas of expertise.

Production sites

Kirchbichl

The fully automated high-tech plant in Kirchbichl, Austria, specialises in the manufacturing of powder products, pastes and granulates. It is considered one of the most modern food plants in Europe, not least thanks to FRIOSAFE®, a patented grinding process. Kirchbichl operates as a pure halal site, with its own product development department and laboratory, and is free from high-risk allergens for the highest product safety and quality.

Georgsmarienhütte

The traditional Georgsmarienhütte site specialises in all liquid products such as marinades and seasoning oils. It also produces dry products for major customers and some halal, kosher, vlog and organic products. The site in Lower Saxony has it’s own product development department and is strategically located close to the MOGUNTIA FOOD GROUP’s central warehouse, also in Georgsmarienhütte.

Gossau

When it comes to food research, hardly any other area is as complex as starter cultures. The MOGUNTIA FOOD GROUP has a dedicated site for this area. The site in the Swiss town of Gossau not only produces microorganism strains, but also performs research and development work and practical tests.

Hetton-le-Hole

With sites in the United Kingdom, the MOGUNTIA FOOD GROUP is also well prepared for the Brexit. In our Hetton-Le-Hole site, powder and liquid products are made, especially for customers in the British Isles. The site specialises in the filling of by-pack sizes and has a state-of-the-art production line for the hot filling of liquid products.

Service and Administrative sites

Mainz

Founded in 1903 in Mainz. The butcher Friedrich Buchholz named his business Moguntia, which is Latin for Mainz. Even today it is the group’s administrative centre. To accelerate the communication processes, the entire customer service for the domestic industry, Foodservice, and butcher’s trade operations is centralised in Mainz, as are marketing, product management and a number of other administrative areas.

Market Harborough

Market Harborough is home to the brand makers of the MOGUNTIA FOOD GROUP. This site develops domestic and international brands, markets and distributes them on the UK and Irish markets. In particular, the portfolio includes delicacies, BBQ and gift items.
